We went to Sea World on Sunday. Boy, was it crowded. Apparently Sea World is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Event for kids. Kids running around in costume all over the place, trick or treating at designated "jelly fish" stands for candy, bananas, candy, cookies, game cards, and more candy. Edwin got a trick or treat bag for Jaden and even got him a few pieces of candy (which somehow have disappeared). We had a great time.
Edwin almost wins a dolphin wearing a hoodie at Sea World. If you look closely, you'll see Edwin's expression when the toy drops out of the crane's grasp. It is a crackup.
So we try again ... Edwin gets ripped off again. Check out the video below ... it is hilarious!!!!! I am not very proficient with my new Flip video camera, so please forgive the crazy taping.

Our first blog entry ... An extended weekend up at Lake Tahoe
We decided to take an extended weekend trip up to Tahoe. Everyone was able to come (whoopie). Edwin, Sharon, Dennis, and Jen went up on Thursday. It was a crazy trip up, we had to put on chains just past Placerville (Edwin hates to put on chains). It was very snowy and scary (I hate driving in the snow). Anyway ... what should have been a less-than-four-hour trip turned into a six-hour-plus drive.
On Friday Dennis & Jen went snowboarding. The roads were clear but the parking lot at the resort and the parking lot at Diamond Peak were NOT, so Edwin kept his chains on. Edwin tells me that he got stuck on this corner in the parking and couldn't go forward (wonderful ... I can image the van just stuck in t
The plan for Saturday was SUPPOSED to be everyone going to Diamond Peak (minus me & Michelle) but a storm was coming in so we just stayed close to the resort. The kids played in the snow outside our unit and made their famous "snow creations". Edwin made a snowm

Sunday morning we woke up to 28" of new snow. We couldn't even see our cars. The snow had totally covered all the beautiful snow creations and they now resembled snow blobs (so sad). In addition to that, a squirrel decided he was going to eat the eyes, noses, and smiles on all the animals (they were made with almonds and carrots). It was still pretty snowy and we proceeded to "dig out" our cars ... that was a comedy act. We were using the broom, dust pan, and mop to get the snow off our cars. We really should have videotaped but we didn't. It took over an hour to dig the cars out. Sunday evening we went to eat at Harrah's Forest Buffet. It was a fun time. Brandon and Michelle were going to go home on Sunday bu
On Monday Michelle and Brandon headed home early so Brandon could get some work done. Edwin, Jenny, and Dennis went skiing (or snowboarding for Jen & Dennis). They had a great time and sent me some pictures via cell phone during the course of the day. I got my work done so that was good - it is so much easier to get that stuff done when you are alone.
